As part of the launch of the DRC’s Educating for Equality campaign in just under three weeks time we are looking for some disabled children to interview who are enjoying a positive experience in mainstream education.
We have been searching for several months and have tried a number of sources - Parents for Inclusion, Whizz Kids etc - who have been very helpful. We now have a number of disabled children 16 years and over who are willing to support the campaign but we could do with more!
For example, we are looking for some disabled children under 16 years old to be interviewed on NewsRound and for Children’s Express.
If anyone knows of a young person who may be able to support our campaign please ring Alyson Rose on 020 7211 4059 or Sue Pratt on 020 7211 4061 or email either of us. Please don’t hesitate to call if you’d like to talk this through with us in more detail.
