This is a very intresting subject, and its been in a news a lot lately ... i would be very intrested to see what comes of the debate.
Do any of you have feelings n the subject, i know when i faced the prospect of MS/mad cow disease & canser i considered it ... in the long run i mean. But having said that im not sure if that was my mother or best friend that i could help them .. its a very hard subject.

I agree with euthanasia and assisted suicide. I have personal experience of the suicide of a close relative, and a friend.
In the former case, even though I lost a parent, if they felt they couldn't bear to live anymore, then it would have been selfish of me to expect them to carry on, just for my sake. It would have been heroic, but, to me, unacceptable. Had it been assisted, then, at least they wouldn't have to have died "alone", a terrible thing to be forced to do.
