· From this September, disabled pupils and students have the right to an education free from discrimination in the biggest shake up of the law in twenty years
· The Education system has failed many disabled people – who are twice as likely as non disabled people to have no qualifications – and so blighting their start in life.
· The DRC is the body set up to enforce these new rights and will provide a helpline, legal advice and conciliation service.

· Research published this week shows that the public supports disabled pupils and students having the same opportunities as others.
